The firm was founded in December 2012 by Len Racioppo and Marc Trottier. Both individuals worked previously for Jarislowsky Fraser Limited where Len Racioppo served as President and Chairman of the Investment Strategy Committee while Marc Trottier was Vice President and Director.

Len Racioppo
Founder
Len Racioppo is a founding partner of Coerente Capital Management. Len has over 45 years of industry experience. Previously, he spent 25 years with Jarislowsky Fraser Limited where for the last 15 years, before his departure, he served as President, Director, Chairman of the Investment Strategy Committee and member of the Executive Committee. Prior to that, he was Canadian equity manager for the CNR Pension Fund.
At Coerente Capital Management, Len is responsible for equity analysis and portfolio management of the firm’s private wealth and Foundation clients.
He holds the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation. He earned his undergraduate degree and Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Toronto. Len also holds an honorary doctorate degree from Assumption University.
Community involvement includes Chair of Board – Factory Theatre, member of the Investment Committee of the Archdiocese of Toronto , Chair of the Racioppo Family Foundation and past Chair of the Sunnybrook Health Sciences Investment Committee
Marc Trottier
Founder
Marc Trottier is a founding partner of Coerente Capital Management, and is both a Portfolio Manager and Chief Compliance Officer. He has over 40 years of industry experience. Previously, he spent 26 years with Jarislowsky Fraser Limited where he was Vice President, Director and member of the Executive Committee. Prior to that he worked with SEI Financial Services.
At Coerente Capital Management, Marc is responsible for client service and portfolio management of the firm’s private wealth and Foundation clients.
He holds the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation and earned his honours Bachelor of Commerce from Carleton University.
Yolande Gooderham
Portfolio Manager
Yolande Gooderham has over 17 years of industry experience and has been at Coerente Capital Management since it was founded. Previously, she spent over 4 years with Jarislowsky Fraser Limited where she was an Assistant Manager.
At Coerente Capital Management, Yolande is a Partner and Portfolio Manager. She is also involved in client service as well as equity research and trading. She holds the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation and earned her Bachelor of Commerce from Queen’s University.
Jean-François Goyette
Portfolio Manager
Jean-François Goyette has over 12 years of industry experience. Prior to his role at Coerente, he started his career at National Bank of Canada’s Alternative Investments department, followed by work for Constance Financial, a derivatives hedge fund . He then worked as a Portfolio Manager for Tactex Asset Management, and was responsible for day-to-day investment activities at Moka, their fintech platform.
At Coerente Capital Management, Jean-Francois is a Portfolio Manager. He is also involved in client service as well as Fixed Income research and trading.
He holds the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation and earned his Bachelor degree in Business Administration from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) at the University of Montreal.
Andrew Volpe
Portfolio Manager
Andrew Volpe has over 23 years of industry experience. Prior to joining the firm, he spent 23 years at Jarislowsky, Fraser Limited, where he was a Senior Institutional Portfolio manager and managed relationships for Foundations, Pensions, and High Net Worth clients.
He joined Coerente Capital Management in 2024 as a Portfolio Manager. He is a CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charterholder, and is a graduate of the University of Toronto.
Michael Duns
Portfolio Manager
Michael Duns has over 12 years of industry experience. Previously, Michael worked at Dundee Capital Markets in equity research and investment banking and with BMO Capital Markets as an equity research assistant.
At Coerente Capital Management, Michael is a Portfolio Manager. He is involved in equity research, equity trading and client service. He holds the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation and earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Rotman Commerce – University of Toronto.
Olivia Whitford
Equity analyst
Olivia Whitford joined the firm as an equity analyst in February 2022. She has over five years of industry experience.
Previously she worked at Beutel Goodman as a member of the institutional client service and marketing teams, and most recently as a junior analyst on the firm’s investment team rotation program. Olivia is a graduate of Dartmouth College and is a CFA charterholder.
Jonathan Nisbet
Manager of Operations
Jonathan Nisbet has over 23 years of industry experience. Previously, he spent over 10 years with Jarislowsky Fraser Limited where he was a member of the international trading and systems teams.
At Coerente Capital Management, Jonathan is the Manager of Operations.
He earned his Bachelor of Commerce (with Honours) from McMaster University, as well as completing the Chief Compliance Officers Qualifying Examination.
